Mediation is now the preferred method of resolving an argument, or issues that occur after a separation, or the breakdown of a relationship; including arranging child contact, the custody of a child, child support maintenance and disputes involving money and property.
This voluntary process is confidential, and allows the people involved in a dispute to communicate and negotiate with the help of a mediator until an agreement is reached that can be made legally binding.
